Airport Heights Elementary School
Founded in 1954 during the end of Anchorage's expansion booms, Airport Heights is a neighborhood school serving approximately 300 students K through 6th grade, along with life skills students from across the district. We assisted the school with a major rehabilitation that included collaborating with our team, client, and a building design committee to develop a preferred site master plan. Construction documentation included new playgrounds, edible landscaping for the school's gardening club, outdoor classroom areas, and a rain garden as an educational feature in addition to providing stormwater benefits.
