City of Valdez Comprehensive Plan

Corvus Design was hired by the City of Valdez to update its Comprehensive Plan. We led a large team that included landscape architecture, planning, architecture, economics, public engagement, cultural resources, and climate-based planning. The process included a significant public engagement effort that successfully adapted to the constraints of COVID 19 restrictions. This included ongoing client and stakeholder meetings, a focused week of subject-based user group meetings, and surveys. The final plan provides a 20-year community vision and growth plan, with recommendations for zoning and land use, housing, recreation, and numerous other components that will help continue to shape the City of Valdez as a desired destination to live, work, and play.
