Lyn Ary Park Master Plan

Through a term contract with the Anchorage Park Foundation, we provided public engagement, planning, and design services to complete the Lyn Ary Park Master Plan. The public consultation strategy included a combination of Community Advisory Group and Community Council meetings, providing a presence at the Turnagain Community Barbecue, and using online surveys and a blog to elicit input and keep people informed. In addition to providing typical Master Plan guidance for development and operations, the document was used to record other information important to the community. This included a narrative history of the park and historical photos relating to the original Lyn Ary Homestead and Muktuk Marston. This allowed the final product to provide park planning and development guidance and record some less tangible aspects that make the park unique to its community of loyal users.
