Sand Lake Gateway
Sand Lake Community Council wanted a community gateway for a prominent intersection in their area. We provided pro-bono services for the design and procurement of this gateway feature, constructed at the corner of Jewel Lake and Raspberry Roads. The design concept took inspiration from Sand Lake, with elements including sculptural cattails and a vivid sunset/sunrise composed of translucent panels. The lighting of the sign brings the panels alive. As a grassroots community effort, Corvus Design worked with a dedicated group of community members and provided design services, coordination, presentations, general process guidance, and construction administration.
