Pullen Creek Interpretive StreamWalk
The Municipality of Skagway contracted corvus Design to develop an interpretive plan for their StreamWalk to create a series of inter-related interpretive opportunities along the corridor. The plan was developed through public meetings and coordination with the local schools, National Park Service, Native Tribe, and local historians and naturalists. Work included developing a detailed sign plan for interpretation and wayfinding, designing twenty-nine signs, and sign procurement. We provided all services, including partnering with an artist for sign illustrations and photographers for imagery. The signs include a variety of sign formats, including smaller 12"x18" signs to large 4'x8' wayfinding maps. Specialized sign content is dedicated to visiting children, the National Park Service Junior Ranger program, and assisting the local school's education curriculum. Several signs are interactive and have movable components. Corvus Design previously designed and documented the development of the StreamWalk itself, including areas of riparian restoration.
