Haines Assisted Living Campus

St. Vincent De Paul provides a variety of senior living facilities and programs for a wide range of residents, including veteran housing, independent senior living, assisted care, and full care facilities; all housed four adjacent structures. The desire was to link these separate facilities into a single campus environment. The inclusion of pedestrian corridors, open space, and the development of a multi-use centralized plaza unifies these facilities while meeting the needs of residents and attracting the community onto the campus. A highlight of the landscaped park setting is the Native Veteran's Memorial. The memorial integrates cultural elements and was designed with master carver Wayne Price as a place of healing and celebration. Work also included a three-dimensional digital model of the proposed campus as a high-resolution visual simulation for fundraising purposes.
